Hello! 👋🏼

My Name is Andreína Gomez Casanova.
I’m a Spanish & Venezuelan Sound Designer, Sound Editor, Foley Artist and Composer.

I’m a Webby (The Webby Awards 2024) and Ambie (The Ambies® 2024) nominated Sound Editor for my work as a Sound Editor in the Fiction Podcast “Undertow: The Sisters”. I’ve also been shortlisted in the BBC Radio Drama Awards 2023 for my work as a Sound Designer in the Fiction Podcast “Restart”. I was part of the team of the acclaimed fiction podcast Tumanbay that won Gold: Best Drama Series during the New York Festivals 2017.

Sound is my passion. When I’m not in the studio editing or performing Foley, I’m outdoors recording nature 🦜
I love working remotely because it gives me the freedom to work on many different projects from all around the world. My approach to sound is very musical (I’m a pianist), analytical, and emotional but I also enjoy the technical part of it. I believe in the power of sound to create immersive experiences.

I’m passionate about researching the positive effects of Music & Sound on people’s lives, emotions, and Mental Health. Sound and Mental Health have a lot in common: They are invisible, and extremely important but not many people notice them.

I’ve worked on different projects including Films directed by Academy Award nominated Directors, Award winning Audio Dramas, VFX short films, Podcasts and Advertisements from different countries such as the UK, India, Ireland, the US, Germany, Nigeria, France, Spain, Venezuela, and Vietnam.

🤓 I have a MSc. in Music Composition for Film and Media from the University of Hertfordshire-UK where I graduated with Distinction in 2016. And also a Bachelor's in Business Administration from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (Venezuela 2014).

I’m passionate about environmental filmmaking and documenting sounds of nature. I’m also passionate about technology and how it can be used to connect people through sound.

I’m bilingual in English and Spanish.

P.S. My accent is Venezuelan 🇻🇪
